EL PASO, TX – (May 27, 2008) – Hunt Building Corporation, a diversified investment, development, design-build, construction management and asset management holding company whose affiliates are major developers in the Southwest and Hawaii and one of the nation’s leading builders and developers of military housing, will change its corporate name to Hunt Companies, Inc. The company announced the name change will be effective immediately.

Woody Hunt, Chairman and CEO of Hunt Companies, Inc., said, “This change involves a name change only; the company remains the same in ownership and business philosophy.” Hunt said the change was necessary because of the company’s growth and diversification. “We feel Hunt Companies better represents a name that covers the full scope of operations and services of our affiliate companies,” said Hunt. “In addition, there has always been some confusion with our construction affiliate, Hunt Building Company, Ltd. We believe the new corporate name will alleviate that.”

Hunt Companies will feature a new logo, with each affiliate tied to the main brand. Affiliates consist of Hunt Development Group, Hunt Building Company, and Hunt Communities.
